These pita chips are simple, easy and delicious. Enjoy them alone or with your favorite hummus or tzatziki.

- 3 pita bread, whole wheat
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup za'atar
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Use a pastry brush to lightly coat both sides of pita bread with olive oil. Repeat for each pita bread.
Cut pitas into 6-8 pieces each.
Sprinkle both sides of pita with salt, za’atar and garlic powder.
Arrange pita chips in one layer on baking sheet. Bake for about 7 minutes. Use tongs to carefully turn chips over and bake for an additional 3-5 minutes on second side. Watch chips closely to prevent them from burning.
Remove pan with pita chips from oven. Allow to cool completely before covering.
This recipe can be easily doubled.
